CCORS #7 Pre-Race Update, its series finale time!

Hello again my dirt oriented friends. Its that time again, one last time, for the CCORS Pre-Race update! We are now preparing for the final race of the CCORS season at the Brunswick Nature Park on Sunday May 15th! Lots to cover, so lets get right to it!

  • The Coastal Carolina Off-Road Series is impossible without the aid Sean Skutnik and Coldwell Banker and all of our other tremendous sponsors. Remember to support those who support your local bike races. Go to our sponsors page, find your local sponsor, and tell them thank you.
  • CCORS Race #7 takes place at the Brunswick Nature Park located at 2601 River Rd SE Winnabow, NC 28479. As always, registration open by 11am, kids race at noon, adults and youth race at 1pm.
  • Interested in volunteering? We could use a few folks to help out throughout the day. Email austin@ccors.com if you want to help out!
  • Last time we are going to say this, we promise! Remember, if you have raced with us this season, that you need to bring your race number back to race again! We reuse those race numbers and you keep the same number all season long. If you lost or forgot your race number its a $5 to replace it. If you are switching to a different class bring it anyway, we can swap it if need be at no charge. But above all else, bring your race number!
  • Remember that at registration we only accept cash or checks (this time made out to Cape Fear SORBA). If you can, bring us $5 bills. We almost always run low, and if you can hook us up with more $5 bills that will make everything else run smoothly and faster!
  • To help anyone that has a mechanical issue on Sunday, Brandon Davis of Wattage Cottage Coaching will be providing neutral support for all racers. He is a world class mechanic and is there for you on Sunday. If you have a mechanical before or during the race stop and see Brandon and he will do everything he can to get you fixed up!
  • In addition to all of the podiums for the race itself on Sunday, we also have the overall podiums for the series to take care of. That means that there will be some down time while we sort thru the results for the day and make sure we get everything right. So please stick around!
  • Ok so we are going to give you a few reasons to stick around. First, our much loved series ending party! Complete with food by Which Wich Superior Sandwhiches of Wilmington. All RACERS are entitled to one free Sandwhich, chips, and a drink once their race is complete. Food will be on site and ready for finishers at 2pm. Once you are done, feel free to dig in! Oh but wait, there is more!
  • We are giving away that set of Industry 9 “Trail S” wheels  we’ve been lugging around all season on Sunday to one lucky winner. So that will be the final opportunity to get your raffle tickets for racing or purchase them. Tickets are $5 each if you want them, so grab them while you still have time! Increase your chances of landing one awesome set of wheels!
  • Another sponsor, Defeet International, has set us up with a stockpile of tremendous socks to give away to racers on Sunday. We are going to split them, our overall series podiums will get socks, and so will some folks in the crowd who hang around to watch the podium presentation! Who doesn’t like free socks? FREE!
  • And finally, its the last race of the season. Come help us throw down and make this one awesome! See you on Sunday, its almost time to play in the dirt!
